GUESS WHEN I WOKE UP TODAY.
GUESS. GUESS GUESS GUESSGUESSGUESS.
NO. YOU'RE WRONG. I GOT UP AT 8:30 AM TODAY.
8:30.
SO EARLY.
Okay, it's three hours later than I get up for school, but today's Sunday.

Anyway, I didn't get up that early for no reason.
I had a piano audition thing (or whatever it's called) today in Princeton at 10ish for NJMTA, which is a piano competition that my sister and I participate in annually.
Yeah. I actually do things.
(Not really)
*cries*
As usual, the piano was terrible.
It's really annoying. As if auditions weren't stressful enough, the pianos are never good.
Unfortunately for piano players, we can't exactly lug around our own pianos. Every time we want to play, we have to adjust to a new piano. Most of the time (unless you're at some really fancy place), that piano sucks.
Audition/evaluation pianos are the worst.
They either have two dynamics--loud and super loud, the pedal doesn't work properly/screeches, half the keys stick, or the piano has a combination of at least two of those characteristics.
YOU CAN NEVER WIN.
This year actually wasn't that bad. The piano did have only two dynamics, but the pedal wasn't that loud, and only one key stuck :D
Yeah okay, it was pretty bad.
But hey, it was way better than the piano in Brookdale's basement.
I had an evaluation there for SMEA earlier this month, and literally everything that could've gone wrong, did go wrong.
The pedal sucked. 90% of the keys stuck. There was only one dynamic.
It was awful.
Anyway, if anyone cares, I played:

(Starting from like 4:10 because I didn't play the full thing. Just the Allegro Burlesco part)
Also, I played it much more sharp and jumpy than that person did because yeah.
WHY NOT.
Jumping is fun.
The second song I played:

If you're like me, you probably didn't click the videos and just skipped here to see if I would actually say something remotely funny.
Sorry to disappoint you.
On a side note, I also watched Frozen today :'D
..for the fifth time.
We got the movie on DVD (my mom saw it at Costco), and my three-year old sister won't stop watching it. I have the movie pretty much engraved into my mind forever by now.
I would upload that video I have of her singing "Let it Go" (she has the lyrics memorized even though she has no idea what they mean), but I don't really know how :3
Basically, pianos are great.
Play piano. All the awesome people do it.
By the way, I have a social studies test tomorrow on the French Revolution.
Did you know that? I didn't.
....THE GUILLOTINE IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER.
That's pretty much the only thing I actually know about the topic.
Anyway, I can't think of a way to end this, so I'll just go now.
Yay for no conclusion~
